Yashwanth Subbannayya, Ph.D.

Dr. Yashwanth Subbannayya obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Bioinformatics and the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore. As part of his thesis work, he used iTRAQ-based labeling approach to identify potential molecular markers in tissue and serum samples from patients with gastric adenocarcinoma. He used multiple reaction monitoring-based assays to validate candidate proteins in patient serum. At CSBMM, he is involved in the development of biomarkers and identification of novel therapeutic targets in various cancers using quantitative proteomic and phosphoproteomic analysis.
