Workshop on Fundamentals of Mass Spectrometry-based Proteomics for Beginners

July 15-17, 2019, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Mangalore, India

Center for Systems Biology and Molecular Medicine (CSBMM) at Yenepoya Research Centre (YRC) is an advanced multidisciplinary research center with state-of-art infrastructure to carry out genomics, proteomics and metabolomics investigations. As a part of the academic program of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), scientists at CSBMM will share their expertise in high-resolution mass spectrometry-based proteomic technologies with young researchers of India through this workshop. CSBMM is one among the 18 institutes selected by K-Tech, Government of Karnataka for hosting Biotechnology Skill Enhancement Programme (BiSEP) to prepare the students with industry ready skill sets. CSBMM offers "Post Graduate Diploma in Multiomics Technology" under BiSEP course. As a part of the academic program at Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), scientists at CSBMM will share their expertise in NGS-based genomic data analysis with young researchers in India through this workshop. This workshop is jointly organised by CSBMM, YRC under the aegis of BiSEP (Government of Karnataka).

Benets of the workshop:

As a part of this 3-day long intensive hands-on training we will introduce, demonstrate and provide theoretical underpinnings of high-resolution mass spectrometry-based proteomic technologies and their application to clinical and biological research. Each participant will obtain hands-on training on sample preparation and mass spectrometry-derived proteomic data analysis.

Poster presentation:

Submissions for research posters are cordially invited from the participants and the selected posters will be awarded cash prizes along with certificates.
