Dr. Pratigya Subba obtained her Ph.D. degree from the National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), New Delhi, India. She continued her postdoctoral research career at NIPGR as a Research Associate in the laboratory of Dr. Niranjan Chakraborty, during which she investigated the role of protein phosphorylation in water-deficit condition in a food legume, chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.). She has been a recipient of 'Post-doctoral Fellowship for Women' during the years 2014-15 from UGC, Government of India. At CSBMM, she will make use of proteomics and phosphoproteomic tools to gain insights into the molecular targets of various traditional medicines. She will also use tandem mass spectrometry-based quantitative proteomic approaches to identify altered proteins and signaling pathways in plants including rice and wheat in response to various abiotic and biotic stresses.
