Aditi Chatterjee, Ph.D.

Biography

Dr. Aditi Chatterjee has investigated the role of cigarette smoke in the induction of chemotherapeutic resistance in bladder cancer using miRNA profiling approaches. She has also studied mitochondrial damage and repair in various cancers to decipher molecular mechanisms involved in DNA repair. She is the Senior Guest Editor for the Journal of Oncology for a special issue on Cigarette Smoke and Cancer. She has been a reviewer for PLOS One, Journal of Proteomics, FEBS Letters and Hematological Oncology. Currently, she is carrying out whole genome sequencing and phosphoproteomic profiling of gallbladder cancer. She is also studying the effect of cigarette smoke on progression of oral cancer and its related chemoresistance. Her other projects involve studying the role of miRNA in cancer with relation to cigarette smoke.
